LuminWave releases the world’s smallest gesture recognition LiDAR

According to a report by Maims Consulting, LuminWave recently launched the world’s smallest gesture recognition LiDAR sensor FS-8864 series products based on the 3D ToF (time of flight) principle at the 2020 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020). . Among them, the SPA model is a 3D ToF chip using SiP (System-in-Package). A variety of optoelectronic chip components including light source, sensor chip, chip-level micro-optics, etc. are integrated in SiP, which is much smaller than the mobile phone camera module.
The SMA and SMB models are micro-modules with SPA as the core, and embedded deep learning AI algorithms to provide turnkey solutions for gesture/posture recognition and 3D point clouds. The design of this series of products focuses on the balance of hardware and algorithm complexity, and optimizes the size, power consumption and cost under the conditions of meeting the target application, making it easy to mass produce, and improving the versatility and economy of 3D LiDAR perception To a whole new level.
