Standard parts kit
Object to be measured: 2m*1.5m white calibration plate with 90% reflectance
Camera position: fixed on the aluminum alloy workpiece, the lens surface parallel to the surface of the calibration plate
Test preparation: warm up the camera for 10 minutes after power on.
Test environment: room temperature 23℃, 100Lux illumination.
Test distance: The calibration plate and the camera are 0.4m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m, 4.5m, respectively.
Data sampling: 10*10 pixels in the center of the image, repeat 32 times to get the average value.
Q1: | Is the light source used in the D3 camera harmful? |
A1:
All Luminwave 3D cameras are certified as Class 1, ensuring the safety of the human eye.
Q2: | Can interference problems arise when multiple cameras are used simultaneously? |
A2:
Due to the 940nm wavelength of the laser source on all 3D cameras, simultaneous usage of multiple cameras in the same position and time may lead to interference. This interference can be addressed through software or hardware solutions, specifically by implementing hardware timing control.
Q3: | Does the ambient temperature affect the imaging of the product? |
A3:
The product remains stable and unaffected when used within the specified temperature range. It has undergone high and low-temperature reliability tests to ensure its performance under various conditions.
Q1: | The GUI software cannot find the device. |
A1:
1. Ensure that the camera’s power supply is functioning correctly and verify that the camera’s indicator light remains illuminated at all times.
2. Adjust the IP addresses of both the host computer and the camera to be within the same network segment. Verify connectivity by attempting to PING the camera’s default IP address, 192.168.1.200. If successful, the connection is established.
3. If the aforementioned steps fail to resolve the issue, please reach out to our technical support for further assistance.
Q2: | How can the point cloud be optimized for complex scenes with varying levels of reflection, including both high and low reflections? |
A2:
The product remains stable and unaffected when used within the specified temperature range. It has undergone high and low-temperature reliability tests to ensure its performance under various conditions.
Q3: | How can the ToF camera's settings be adjusted for distant objects with low reflection, such as black objects? |
A3:
This can be achieved by reducing the frame rate, extending the exposure time by 3000-4000, and setting the confidence filter to 1 or turning it off.
Q4: | How to update the firmware of D3 series products? |
A4:
Navigate to the “Configuration” menu and select ‘Update’ from the GUI software. Utilize the ‘update_enc.sh’ file to update the lower computer. After the update is complete, the system will automatically prompt a successful update and restart the device to complete the firmware upgrade.
Q5: | How to modify the device's IP address? |
A5:
The device offers two network modes: static IP and dynamic IP address. You can adjust these settings in the network configuration of the host computer, or alternatively, utilize the provided API to change the network mode.
Q6: | The device can be found by the host computer, but there is no data. |
A6:
1. Verify if the firewall is disabled.
2. Confirm if the network cable is Gigabit-compatible.
Q1: | Which development languages and operating systems are compatible with the D3 camera? |
A1:
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11 64-bit, Linux 64-bit Programming Language: C++
Q2: | Is the distance provided by the depth map on the camera the distance from the point to the camera itself or the distance from the point to the camera's front surface? |
A2:
By default, the setting reflects the distance from the point to the front of the camera. If the camera is tested against a wall, each point on the wall will have the same distance value.
